My Feelings about "THE SECRET"

A child cannot walk when it comes out of the womb. If he could, he would most surely walk where he could be tragically wounded. Our journey through mortal life is a learning experience and to be directed line upon line. We must crawl before we can walk. It is my opinion that the Lord keeps these powers that the Secret speaks of; a secret until one develops the skills to use it correctly.
Our loving Heavenly Father will reveal the full secret to us when we are ready to use it for our own good as well as others good. The Secret is in my opinion the powers within each one of Gods children inherited from God. We are just beginning. It cannot be obtained in its fullness until after we have fully developed our abilities to control our physical body in tune with our spiritual selves. We are really in embryo state, learning all about this great gift of the physical life given to us by Him. Learning line upon line and precept upon precept in our own world.

Now, the adversary would have us believe that we do not need a Savior, and that we can take advantage of  those God like powers within us now, and save ourselves. Believing that lie is what denies us that very power that the “Secret” speaks of. The Power that the Secret speaks of is real and true. The Lord gives us one of the keys all the time. That key is “faith”. The one thing the Secret leaves out is the very reason, the very vessel of which enables us to take advantage of the “Powers of the Universe”. That is Jesus Christ. His Atonement, which by the way if separated becomes “At – one – meant”, is what has enabled us to learn how to use these powers. We first must to learn how to join spirit and body to work in harmony toward being with Him again. We were meant to be as one with the Spirit. This takes a life time and the endurance of many trials.

These powers: Gratitude, Ask and Ye Shall Receive, Cling to the Positive, Faith can move mountains. All can be found in the bible. The bible also tells us that only though Jesus Christ. We cannot do it alone. Oh sure, after we have made the ultimate sacrifice, bled from every pour, been beaten beyond any thing fathomable to humanity, and suffered the pain and agony and emotion of every soul that will live and has lived... OK, then I suppose, we will be in full control of the Universe. But for now, He, Jesus Christ is in control. He did that for us so we can repent if we want to, so we can take the time and have the way to develop that unconditional love that He has. This love is what enables Him to control the Universe and through Him we also can become in control of our own lives the way the “Secret” says.

When Adam and Eve partook of the forbidden fruit, Lucifer came to them in form of their friend and convinced Eve that if they did they could have their eyes opened to good and evil and be able to control their own lives. He was telling the truth but did not tell them of the consequences and responsibilities that would come with it. They got what they wanted plus much more that if they had to face it without God’s help guide lines would have totally condemned all mankind to being lowely creatures unable to grow and progress forever. Lucifer told them the truth plus the lie that if they ignored God all would be well and they would get what they wanted. Does that sound familiar?
God sent His Son to save the world. Jesus first had to be born into a Spiritual body and learn line upon line as a child. He never asks us to do anything He didn’t do first. “Come Follow Me” He saved the world from Adam and Eve’s transgression and gave mankind a second chance. I believe that He was a being that had already achieved the state of God Hood that enabled him to atone for all the sins of the world…the ultimate sacrifice in UNCONDITIONAL LOVE.
I believe that Heavenly Father wants us to succeed and find joy. But he is not going to give us a gun without the proper training and let us harm ourselves and others.
I am so very thankful for the knowledge and testimony that God has allowed me to receive in my life. It has enabled me to be able to find understand the truths in things like the “Secret”. I think it can be a wonderful informative and moving book and movie only if used correctly.
In the Name Of Jesus Christ Amen

Filling my bank account

... Somthing my father taught me that I will always remember.....

My Dad was legally blind when he moved to a nursing home. My Mom, his wife of 47 years had passed away 10 years before. He came to live with me being a wonderful blessing for me and my children. One day he slipped and fell on some ice. Broken ribs causing a puncture to his plual sac starved his brain of oxygen for almost a week. I had to move him to a nursing home much to my dismay. After many hours of waiting patiently in the lobby of the nursing home, he smiled sweetly when told his room was ready. As he maneuvered his walker to the elevator, I provided a visual description of his tiny room, including the eyelet sheets that had been hung on his window. I love it,' he stated with the enthusiasm of an eight-year-old having just been presented with a new puppy. But Dad, you haven't seen the room; just wait. ''That doesn't have anything to do with it,' he replied. Happiness is something you decide on ahead of time. Whether I like my room or not doesn't depend on how the furniture is arranged .. it's how I arrange my mind. I already decided to love it because you chose it. Besides, 'It's a decision I make every morning when I wake up. I have a choice;I can spend the day in bed recounting the difficulty I have with the parts of my body that no longer work, or get out of bed and be thankful for the ones that do. Each day is a gift, and as long as my eyes open, I'll focus on the new day and all the happy memories I've stored away.. Just for this time in my life..Old age is like a bank account. You withdraw from what you've put in. So, my advice to you would be to deposit a lot of happiness in the bank account of memories now! Thank you for your big part in filling my Memory Bank".

My Dad developed Alsheimers and lost all his short term memory, but he always had a smile and a sence of peace. He always remembered me and my children. He passed away June 25th 2009. I know he is now in a better place reunited with my Mother and still very happy. My Father never complained. I pray that I can follow his example and be such a blessing to my family as he was to me.
